Famously, Paris is a city that only comes alive at night. Under the dim glow of street lamps and moonlight, the French capital shimmers into focus, trading the rigidity of Europe‘s mid-morning routines for something far more romantic. Cafés stay open until well into the early hours of the morning and come daylight, the perennially busy city is reduced to a sleepy silence.
As an outsider, the dulcet calm of early morning Paris has always struck me as strange. It is just so different from other European capitals, many of which buzz with a chaotic AM energy. But not here.
I’ve often thought that were it not for the stubborn demands of modern working life, Paris might well have evolved into a fully nocturnal city. Come next month, however, the transformation might finally be realised. On 9 February, the Beaumarly Group will officially fling open the doors of L’Aventure; a bustling destination that brings together a world-class restaurant, club, and five-star hotel under one famous roof.

The latest venture from the hospitality group world-class outposts such as Hotel Amour, Café Beauborg and Matignon, L’Aventure offers the full-Parisian experience. Located in the ritzy 16th arrondissement, just steps from the Arc de Triomphe, the unique property celebrates the fine arts of gastronomy, music, design and hospitality in an undeniably French manner.
Conceived by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, L’Aventure is reportedly inspired by Victor Hugo’s monumental poem “The Legend of the Ages”. An anthology of work, the poem traces the evolution of humanity from biblical times to the future, and is often considered a modern French epic, characterised by its powerful, dark imagery.
To capture this unique inspiration, Brudnizki and his team have created a visual narrative that centres on metamorphosis, ascent, fall, and rebirth. Deep velvets, bespoke tapestries, sculptural lighting, mythological mosaics, and polished marbles all feature prominently in the interiors, creating spaces that the designer describes as both “sensorial and theatrical”. While Hugo’s work leans heavily into the Romantic period, L’Aventure takes a decidedly more Art Deco approach, particularly when it comes to the rooms.

L’Aventure Hotel Design
The rooms at L’Aventure blend historic architectural forms with modern materials in truly impressive fashion. There is a rich palette of amber, mineral green, gold, and deep blue throughout the hotel, which works as a subtle reference to past French styles. Somewhat unsurprisingly, this influence comes from Vincent Darré, the iconoclastic figure of Parisian design who previously worked alongside Karl Lagerfeld and was the head designer at Moschino.
With L’Aventure, Darré assumes the role of artistic director, fusing the Haussmann spirit with a theatrical and, at times whimsical, aesthetic. According to the design legend, each room tells a unique story, balancing Parisian elegance and artistic audacity, faithful to the free spirit of L’Aventure.

L’Aventure Hotel Rooms and Pricing
There are 15 rooms in total with L’Aventure offering six different configurations for guests. For shorter stays and smaller footprints, the hotel has standard and deluxe rooms, while the Victor Hugo Junior Suite, Suite Arc de Triomphe and Victor Hugo Suite dial up the space and luxury.
At the pointy end of the budget, you’ll find L’Appartement; 130m² space located on the top floor of the new venue. Featuring two king-sized beds, two luxurious bathrooms, multiple creature comforts and a stunning view of the Arc de Triomphe, L’Appartement is unlike any short-stay rental in Paris. Designed for long stays, families or visiting artists, the space combines independence, comfort and total immersion in the world of the house.
Prices for the standard rooms start at around AUD$840 per night, with the upscale Victor Hugo Suite setting you back AUD$1,750 per night. For families with a penchant for the opulent, however, L’Appartement is currently priced at AUD$3,130 per night. That being said, if you do choose to take your kids here, you might be missing out on half the fun.

L’Aventure Paris Restaurant
At the heart of the L’Aventure experience is the stunning Art Deco restaurant. Another marvel from Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, this space operates continuous service from midday to 11pm, which is a rarity for Paris but fast becoming a signature of Beaumarly maisons.
Inside, embroidered velvets and exclusive tapestries draped across marble and wood tables, exuding a warm and luxurious vibe. Peer upwards and you’ll notice the sculptural chandeliers and textured walls that all seem to point towards to the stunning views of Avenue Victor Hugo visible through the paned glass windows.
According to The Beaumarly Group, the menu celebrates French culinary favourites, with a few highlights borrowed from their cosmopolitan neighbours. Signature dishes such as paccheri rigati with caviar, steak tartare maki and silver cod all make an appearance, which is a big win for fans of Hotel Amour or Café Beauborg. When the lights go down, however, L’Aventure transforms into something entirely different.

L’Aventure The Club
What makes L’Aventure such a unique prospect is the multi-thematic approach. Once you’ve enjoyed a night’s rest at the hotel and a wonderful dinner at the restaurant, you can immerse yourself in the rhythm of Paris nightlife at the in-house club.
Described as “intimate, theatrical and hypnotic”, the club space features towering mosaics inspired by mythological figures, offset by heavy velvet curtains that reveal the in-house DJs and performers. Each night, the décor is transformed to offer this confidential place an atmosphere that is as spectacular as it is unexpected.
Membership for the club also grants you free access to the L’Aventure restaurant and hotel, but it won’t be easy to score one. Each membership request is submitted to the Club Management for approval, is non-transferable and must come with the backing of one or more sponsors.
The L’Aventure restaurant and club are currently open, with bookings available across the two venues. At present, Hotel L’Aventure is slated to open on 9 February 2026, with a grand opening scheduled for 28 February.
