OMEGA Hits the Slopes with White Ceramic Seamaster Milano Cortina

To celebrate the start of the 2026 Winter Olympics, OMEGA has unveiled a snow-white Seamaster build for the Italian Alps.
  • Swiss luxury watchmaker OMEGA has announced a White Ceramic Seamaster Diver 300M model in celebration of the upcoming 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Italy.
  • The 43.5mm timepiece is crafted from a mixture of white ceramic and grade 5 titanium, making it one of the most robust models in the Seamaster lineup.
  • It is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, which offers 55 hours of power reserve and operates at a frequency of 25,200 VpH.
  • The white ceramic OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M is priced at AUD$16,600 and is available now from OMEGA boutiques and online.

We may still be two weeks out from the start of the Olympic Winter Games, but OMEGA is already taking to the slopes. The Swiss luxury watchmaker has unveiled a new white ceramic iteration of its much-loved Seamaster Diver 300M model, and while there are no diamonds in sight, this release might suffer from being a little too iced-out.

Released to commemorate the upcoming Games, otherwise known as the 2026 Milano Cortina, the new Seamaster model joins an ever-growing catalogue of special editions. In February last year, OMEGA dropped a 37mm Milano Cortina model in Moonshine Gold that not only referenced the prized medal on offer, but also the Seamaster’s rich history.

The watchmaker followed it up in October with the Speedmaster 38mm Milano Cortina, a sophisticated release that delicately toyed with the snow-fuelled theme. This latest model doesn’t follow the same subtle cues, opting instead for a crisp-cut silhouette that appears as if it were pulled straight from the snow.

OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Milano Cortina

The OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Milano Cortina 2026 is a unique prospect for the much-loved watchmaker. While it bears much of the iconic design language that OMEGA fans know and love, this frosty white model skews the proportions slightly. The release has been upscaled from the traditional 42mm diameter to a larger 43.5mm, with the thickness jumping to 14.37mm. While not huge by any stretch, you can’t help but feel those extra millimetres do take up some valuable wrist real estate, which could be a deal-breaker for some watch fans.

Where this model really differs from its predecessors, however, is in the case material. Inspired by the Winter theme, OMEGA has crafted this Seamaster from a mixture of white ceramic and grade 5 titanium. Both materials are renowned for their lightweight properties and enhanced robustness, helping to bolster the Milano Cortina’s on-slope credentials, while also marrying the crisp, white aesthetic.

The materials are used across the board, from the polished-brushed case body and the sandblasted helium escape valve and crown, to the white ceramic bezel ring, which features a laser-ablated diving scale in positive relief.

On the dial, it’s a similar story. OMEGA has laser-engraved the white ceramic dial with a finger trace pattern inspired by the “26” of the Milano Cortina 2026 emblem. It’s an interesting look that will no doubt be polarising, but the more that I look at it, the more I enjoy it. Of course, you’ll also find rhodium-plated hands and indexes that have been filled with white Super-LumiNova, while the varnished central seconds hand has been given a subtle blue gradient to match the competition logo.

Inside, the Seamaster Diver 300M Milano Cortina is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, one of OMEGA’s best-loved movements. Offering a power reserve of 55 hours and the backing of the Swiss industry’s highest standard of accuracy, Calibre 8806 is a podium-topper all of its own.

Thoughts on the White Ceramic Seamaster Diver 300M

With OMEGA fulfilling the role of Official Timekeeper for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, it was never a surprise that more themed watches were coming. Over the years, the Swiss luxury brand has dropped no shortage of Olympic Games models and America’s Cup pieces, each paying tribute to the remarkable legacy of the sporting code behind them. More often than not, these models look to the past for inspiration, but with the latest release, OMEGA is stepping headfirst into the future.

Admittedly, white ceramic watches aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I can think of no better opportunity for OMEGA to test one out than the Olympic Winter Games. The stark white model feels inherently sporty, particularly when you combine the lightweight properties of both the ceramic and titanium materials, and for the most part, the Seamaster DNA remains intact.

What is most surprising here is that OMEGA has confirmed that this release is not a special edition, meaning fans will actually be able to get their hands on one. To me, this indicates a cautious optimism from OMEGA to step further into the ceramic world. Should the White Ceramic Seamaster Milano Cortina sell well, you might just find a few more ceramic Seamasters hitting the market in the coming years.

The White Ceramic OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M is priced at AUD$16,600 and is available now from OMEGA boutiques and online. It is presented on a white rubber strap with a special presentation box. For more information on the unique new piece, visit OMEGA.
