Australia’s best-loved watch convention is set to return to the Harbour City in November with a host of new and familiar faces on board.
Australia’s best-loved watch convention returns this November when Watchfest 2026 descends on the Harbour City. Running across three days from 5–7 November, the annual celebration will bring together an exciting mix of international and local watch brands, collectors, enthusiasts, industry figures and newcomers to the world of horology.
Since 2019, the annual event has offered a welcoming, judgement-free space for watch lovers of all ages to learn, connect and discover more about the world of horology. SeaWhether you’re a seasoned collector, an aspiring enthusiast or just a little curious about what makes watches tick, the multi-part convention offers the perfect snapshot into the burgeoning industry.
Across the three-day program, attendees can expect everything from boutique visits and new-watch showcases to hands-on experiences, educational sessions, conversations with industry experts and opportunities to meet fellow collectors.
As in previous editions, the horology fair kicks off with the classic ‘Watch Crawl’. From 5pm on Thursday 5 November, attendees will weave their way through Sydney’s labyrinth of watchmaking maisons and boutiques, getting a first-hand look at some of the industry’s rarest and most sought-after timepieces and latest novelties. The evening offers a more intimate introduction to the event, with guests able to visit participating retailers, discover new collections and meet the people behind some of Sydney’s most respected watch destinations.
The following Saturday, the fun continues with the return of the much-loved Watch Convention. Held at the iconic Sydney Masonic Centre from 10am on November 7, the event brings together a long list of watch brands, partners and industry leaders in one place. From live sessions and ‘Meet the Maker’ talks to hands-on collections, the convention is a must-attend for watch lovers of all ages.
Guests can expect the chance to handle watches up close, speak directly with brand representatives, hear from industry experts and learn more about everything from watchmaking techniques and design to collecting and the stories behind individual timepieces. This year, you’ll find exhibitions and activations from brands such as TAG Heuer, which only recently unveiled an Australian Limited Edition, Longines, Tissot Watches, Panerai and more.
For collectors, the convention also provides a rare opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts and members of the wider Australian watch community. For newcomers, meanwhile, the relaxed atmosphere provides an accessible way to ask questions, discover different watchmakers and develop a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and history behind some of the indsutry’s best-loved timepieces.
The 2026 event will conclude with the annual Watchfest dinner, which this year will be held at Song Kitchen Restaurant. Beginning at 5pm on Saturday 7 November, the dinner offers a rare opportunity to connect with some of the watch community’s most dedicated collectors, industry stalwarts and avid fans. In addition to contributing to the annual growth of Watchfest, all guests attending the evening will also be supporting the work of YWCA Australia, a not-for-profit organisation that supports women and their families.
Through Song Kitchen Restaurant’s unique people-first mission, 25 cents of every dollar spent will be reinvested into the organisation, which provides long-term social housing for women and gender-diverse people, alongside specialist programs for domestic violence support and homelessness.
